In this post I take you on a tour to Discover Colmar Old Town. Colmar is one of the main cities in Alsace. It is located next to the German border in North-Eastern France on the main road between Strasbourg and Mulhouse, surrounded by vineyards and the very picturesque wine road.
The French Riviera is a place where the rich and famous come to enjoy their wealth. The shiny, apartment buildings are lined with palm trees and designer shops. But there’s an alternative to the bling of Cannes or Nice – St Cyprien-Plage and the Languedoc Roussillon. It ‘s certainly glamorous but it has something that many people miss when they visit France: living like the locals.
Cycling along the Rhine River. Since cycling past the cycle path sign, Basle 100km, while holidaying with the family at my parents last year in the Centre of Alsace, I was determined to cycle from Benfeld to Basle, and this year we set the project to completion. I love Basle in the summer, as amazing as it sounds, people are bathing in the Rhine river and letting themselves drifting through the current with their belongings protected in colourful bags around their bodies.
